John’s musical journey began under the mentorship of his father, Gary Guerrini, a versatile and highly accomplished multi-instrumentalist. This early professional foundation led him to the US Army, where he served with distinction during Operation Desert Storm. Following his recovery from a combat-related injury, John successfully auditioned for the Army Band, earning a prestigious assignment in Japan. As a member of the 296th Army Band, he performed at high-profile military and community events across the country, including appearances at the renowned Nippon Budokan in Tokyo.

Upon returning to civilian life, John’s career accelerated within the Midwest’s premier music scenes. He has lent his talents to esteemed ensembles such as the Tony Baron Orchestra, Bill Kokos Orchestra, and The Connexion Band. Most notably, during a 16-year tenure with the Deja Vu Band, John was instrumental in establishing the group as a top-tier act for festivals, corporate events, and high-profile weddings across the Chicagoland and Milwaukee markets.

In 2014, John transitioned into band leadership and entrepreneurship. He currently fronts Knievel's Daredevil BandKnievel’s Daredevil Band, featuring Krysten Knievel—granddaughter of the legendary Evel Knievel. This "all-star" ensemble is celebrated for its high-energy delivery of Classic Rock, Southern Rock, Country, and modern hits, featuring some of the finest musicians in the region.

Whether performing as a solo artist or leading a high-energy dueling piano show, John’s expansive 1,000+ song catalog ensures a customized experience for every audience. allowing him to pivot seamlessly between:
